Press Release: Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to Speak at World Council for Health Conference in Estonia Amidst Concerted Efforts to Stop the Event Going Ahead

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
25 August 2025

World Council for Health (WCH) is delighted to announce that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will be a keynote speaker at the upcoming European Conference of Health & Human Rights, hosted by WCH Estonia on 11–12 September 2025 at the Parliament of Estonia in Tallinn.

Mr. Kennedy’s address is expected to focus on key areas of international and regional relevance including the WHO Pandemic Treaty and the International Health Regulations (IHR). He will also likely discuss his perspective on why European countries should consider not ratifying the proposed WHO Pandemic Treaty, noting that the deadline for IHR amendments has already passed for most European nations. He is anticipated to address the major issues shaping healthcare policy, including transparency, accountability and public trust, and explore opportunities to strengthen collaboration between Europe and the United States, particularly in areas of health sovereignty, policymaking, and the protection of human rights.

However, the conference has come under political attack from within the Estonian government, threatening the open dialogue and democratic values it aims to uphold. This follows statements from Karmen Joller, the country’s Minister of Social Affairs, who recently moved to block the conference and publicly disparaged Mr. Kennedy as “cuckoo in the head.” Mainstream media outlets in Estonia have also launched an aggressive campaign against other invited speakers.

The European Conference of Health & Human Rights is set to bring together a distinguished group of leaders, healthcare professionals, researchers, and policymakers from across Europe and beyond. The event provides an open platform to examine post-Covid health challenges and explore constructive strategies for improving public health systems. The right to freedom of expression and peaceful assembly, especially in the context of science, health, and human rights, must be protected.

The notable speaker lineup also includes Dr. Tess Lawrie, co-founder of World Council for Health, leading U.S. cardiologist Dr Peter McCullough, WCH’s human rights attorney Shabnam Palesa Mohamed, and former Dutch Member of the European Parliament, Rob Roos. In addition to the formal sessions, the conference aims to foster meaningful networking between European and American decision-makers.

The conference remains officially scheduled for September 11–12 in the Estonian Parliament. The event will be livestreamed at http://www.worldcouncilforhealth.org/newsroom
